Connect Groups & Care

First Response: As the church grows and groups become more full, so too do the care needs within the congregation of people who call Quest home. To make that manageable and scalable, Connect Groups are also being viewed as the first responders for care needs. What this means isn’t anything beyond what most groups do naturally. For example, if someone needs prayer, members of the group are the first to be there to pray. If someone needs some help with grass or yardwork due to age or injury, the group jumps in to help. If someone needs help getting to a doctor’s appointment or is in the hospital for a minor health concern, their group is their first line of support.

Escalating Care Needs: The Care Team is meant to be a support to your group as you work with the care needs that may arise. It is not the first place to send someone with a care need. If a care need becomes something beyond your group’s ability or comfort to meet, you can escalate the need by submitting a Care Card to the Care Team. You can access to this group the Connect Group Host Page.

Coordinate Care: The responsibility of care shouldn’t fall solely on you as the host. Instead, the group should be helping carry that responsibility. You may have to help coordinate, but it is a team effort.

Summer Sessions

During the summer, General Connect Groups are on their longest break, but the Men’s & Women’s Connect Groups will both be hosting their own studies for anyone interested. We are calling them Summer Sessions. These are planning on being larger group sessions and will be a great place for ladies at the church to meet other women, guy to meet other men, and hosts to get a chacne to

Project 42 is a Connect Group ministry-wide initiative to multiply. We’ve talked about the Biblical principles and importance of multiplication over the past year, and we’ve seen the need for it as God continues to bring people into our family at Quest, and this is our opportunity to keep up with what God is doing.

At the start of 2026, we had a total of 21 Connect Groups. The goal by the end of the year is to have 42 groups total, and trying to prioritize as much movement of groups in the direction of the Smithfield side of 40/42 as possible.
